  • 25ml of Campari
  • 25ml of Vermouth

6 reinterpretations of classic drinks with Quetzalli

Our take on the Pisco Sour replaces pisco with Quetzalli, bringing you an extremely refreshing and surprising tequila drink .

DRINK PROFILE:

Sours are slightly tart cocktails made with a neutral spirit base. When we replace pisco with Quetzalli, our sour version becomes more refreshing and sweet, thanks to the strong notes of passion fruit and the presence of agave syrup. This recipe is the perfect choice for those who want to enjoy a single tequila drink on a night out.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 50 ml of Quetzalli
  • 50 ml of Tahiti lime juice
  • 25 ml sugar syrup (50/50 ratio of water and sugar)*
  • 20 ml of pasteurized or unpasteurized egg white 1 sprig of basil

ALCOHOLIC CONTENT:
5.86% (no ice)

PREPARATION METHOD:

*Sugar syrup:

Making sugar syrup is super simple. Combine equal amounts of water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely in the water. Then, just let it cool and use. The mixture can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 30 days.

QTZ Sour:

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and then strain into a glass. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.

DRINK #4 QTZ MULE

6 reinterpretations of classic drinks with Quetzalli

If you have a copper mug at home, there's no doubt you're a Moscow Mule lover! In our version, the vodka is replaced by Quetzalli, in a super fun take on this drink that's a worldwide hit.

DRINK PROFILE:

The Moscow Mule is a drink with over 80 years of tradition. Originally made with vodka, ginger, and lime juice, the drink is refreshing and slightly spicy. In Brazil, mixologist Marcelo Serrano's version, featuring a ginger foam, has become popular and is becoming popular in copper mugs. In the Quetzalli Mule, the vodka is replaced by Quetzalli, bringing greater freshness and lightness to the drink.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 50 ml of Quetzalli
  • 25 ml of Sicilian lemon juice
  • 25 ml sugar syrup
  • 2 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters
  • ginger foam *
  • 1 sprig of mint (garnish)

ALCOHOLIC CONTENT:
8.5% (no ice)

PREPARATION METHOD:

Add all ingredients to a mug with ice and stir with a shaker. Then, top with ginger foam (you can use a pre-made one or make our recipe at home) and mint leaves to finish the drink.

*Ginger foam:

  • 50 ml lemon juice
  • 50 ml sugar syrup
  • 50 ml fresh ginger juice
  • 50 ml egg white

In a whipped cream siphon, combine all ingredients, seal, and refrigerate until ready to use. Before serving, fill the siphon with a gas cap. Shake well and let sit for half an hour. Use the foam to top off the drink. (Nobody wants to make foam for just one drink, right? So this recipe makes 15 to 20 cocktails.)

For those who are thinking: "making foam is a pain, huh?". No problem, there is a ready-made foam that can put an end to this problem ;)
